A little bit about us....
The Craft Cabin E4 & CM23 is a fun, therapeutic and educational experience for children and adults alike; catering for all ages!
We are a family run business that opened in 2012, when we decided we wanted to create a place that families could enjoy quality time together. The whole family can enjoy being creative together, or adults can relax with a coffee, whilst the children get crafting! Why have the mess at home when you can visit The Craft Cabins?
In 2012 we opened The Craft Cabin E4 in Chingford and in 2019 we opened our second shop – The Craft Cabin CM21 in Sawbridgeworth. We outgrew this shop so in December 2021 we opened The Craft Cabin CM23 in Bishops Stortford.
In both our shops in Bishops Stortford and Chingford we offer Pottery Painting which we can fire in our kiln or we have a range that you can take home on the day! We also offer teddy making, bag and T Shirt design, wooden crafts, canvasses, jewellery making and more!
The Craft Cabins are always adding new crafts for you to try – and we run many events in the shops, as well as out in the local communities.
We also sell a huge range of craft kits and personalised items online! The staff are always busy making lots of party supplies and gifts, ready to post out for you to enjoy at home and for special occasions. We enjoy coming up with new ideas and products, so we can always offer you a variety of great crafts and gifts.

Most frequent questions and answers
E4 – Our nearest station is Chingford which is 5 minutes walk. Our nearest undergrounod stations are Walthamstow or Woodford, both a short bus/ drive away.
CM23 – Our nearest station is Bishops Stortford and is a 5 minute walk, it runs from Cambridge to Liverpool Street.
E4 – There is parking available along Station Road. You get 15 minutes FREE and then allowed to park for 2 hours. You can buy parking vouchers in shops with a P in the window, or call/ text to pay by phone.
There are also two pay and display car parks located just a few minutes walk away, so there is plenty of parking.
CM23 – There are plenty of car parks just a short walk away. Opposite is Crowns Terrace with a pay and display car park. Jackson Square car park is also a just a 5 minute walk.
Adults only pay if they are creating their own item.
Yes, parents are welcome to stay, but we cannot guarantee seating unless the party has paid for the shop to close.
You are welcome to stay as long as you like! Most customers stay 1-2 hours.
